Profile & Tie-Rod Cylinders

Pneumatic cylinders, often referred to as pneumatic actuators or pneumatic drives, are used to provide motion and force to industrial automation applications. We offer both single acting cylinders and double acting cylinders and their corresponding accessories & mountings. Our pneumatic cylinder ranges include profile cylinders, roundline cylinders, compact cylinders and rodless cylinders

Rodless Cylinders

Rodless cylinders offer a light weight, high strength, aluminium extrusion with integral switch rail and machine mounting grooves giving great versatility. Four carriage styles, along with eight bore sizes further this versatility for any application. The new labyrinth dust strip found on Lintra plus help with any application involving dust and dirt. Rodless cylinders come with fully adjustable air cushioning as standard and offer high speed options to the linear actuator market with speeds up to 15 metres per second being achievable.

Rotary Actuators

Rotary actuators provide a reciprocating angular or turning moment. The range includes both rotary vane actuators and rack & pinion actuators. Rotary vane actuators are small self-contained, double acting actuators taking less space than rack and pinion actuators but offering less torque output. Rack and pinion actuators offer greater torque, but depending on the angular motion specified this will increase the footprint of the rotary actuator.

Roundline Cylinders

Pneumatic roundline cylinders are ideally suited to the lighter duty, lower force applications, generally coming with buffer or fixed cushions some ranges offer upgrading to adjustable cushioning. We offer roundline cylinders in both single acting and double acting versions and have ranges that conform to the ISO6432 standard, whilst other ranges are to our own design saving on space.

Stainless Steel Cylinders

Stainless Steel cylinders are ideal in those harsh or extreme environments including pharmaceutical and food industry where improved corrosion resistance is required helping to overcome the aggressive wash down elements. Our ranges of stainless steel actuators include stainless steel ISO roundline actuators conform to ISO 6342 and stainless steel ISO tie-rod actuators conform to ISO 15552.

Slides & Guided Units

Our range of linear slide units and guided linear actuators save you time and money by allowing our standard products to be used in applications requiring greater support and strength. Both our slide units and guiding and stopper units come as double acting with magnetic pistons as standard. Guiding and stopper units are ideally suited to those heavier duty applications for example stopper systems found within conveyor systems.

Shock Absorbers

Linear actuators operating at high speeds produce high inertia and often shock loads. Hydraulic shock absorbers are fitted externally to absorb these loads helping to ensure trouble free operation of your process. Available as fixed or adjustable, these shock absorbers are fully sealed and maintenance free. The range of mounting brackets and accessories allow easy mounting of the shock absorbers.

Our kits offer all the serviceable parts to extend the life of your actuator whilst maintaining optimum performance.

Compact Cylinders

Compact actuators are used where space is a premium with the standard compact actuators, being one third the length of the equivalent ISO profile cylinder. Our ISO version conforms to the latest ISO 21287 standard and accepts the M50 standard reed switch, solid state switch or IO Link switch inside our integrated switch grove as well as one of the largest range of mountings in our industry.

Integrated Valve & Actuator (IVAC)

Integrated Valve and Actuator Control - IVAC – combines a linear actuator, a glandless control valve, two reed or solid state switches and speed controllers into one integrated product whilst still maintaining the dimension measurements in accordance with ISO 15552. With IVAC utilising an integrated valve therefore reducing tubing requirements it offers increased energy efficiency saving energy usage by up to 50%, as well as reducing the number of parts needed to purchase, stock and install on your machine.

Air Bellows

Air bellows can be used in a number of applications, including high force over a short stroke length, vibration dampening and providing tipping moments. We offer a full selection of single acting bellows ranging from under 3” to over 20” in diameter, with single, double or triple convolution options. Air bellows offer a maintenance free, lubrication free option with almost frictionless operation.

Actuator Switches

Our core range of actuator position switch is the M/50 range, available as a reed switch or a solid state switch in both PNP or NPN options and our new IO Link version. These switches when fitted to the outside of a magnetic cylinder allow position sensing of the piston. The M/50 range come in 2, 5 and 10 metre lengths or a plug type. Options include temperature resistant or ATEX approved versions.
